While listening to the podcast above I learned how Agnes Martin used everything around her as inspiration for her art. The one thing that struck out to me the most was how she tried to paint and portray innocence and beauty. Martin also wanted the audience to emphasize subtle emotions that we all feel. I wanted to try and see things in Martin’s perspective and my drawing above was my attempt, however not the same art style as Martin’s. I gained inspiration from one of my role models and focused on trying to bring out their innocence through my pencil strokes. The knowledge I gained from the podcast made me want to apply to it to my life and creativity.
